Ford Roofing were requested to investigate & price for various leaking roof element to Badgeworth Court care home regarding existing leaks within a 1st floor corridor and the ground floor hair salon. Various issues were encountered including faulty asphalt roofing to the salon glazed roof gutter, and tired & leaking leadwork to the dormer window on the tiled roof. 

Due to the existing roof tiles containing asbestos and the presence of bats being discovered, the programme of works had to be re-arranged to allow for initial emergency temporary repairs to be carried out whilst an emergency bat license was granted. Bat relocation boxes were sourced & mounted at very short notice. The asbestos tiles were then removed by a specialist contractor in the presence of an ecologist and the client, during which a live bat was encountered & relocated. This then allowed the reinstatement of a new slated roof & leadwork.
