PROJECT COLLECTION

Barchester, Hilton Park, Bottisham

Ongoing Project

Ford Roofing were engaged to undertake a sensitive project in Bottisham, Cambridgeshire, involving full Strip, insulate & retile to a Slate tile Listed building including Lead ridges & valleys.

Whilst on site the other works were to include removal of existing plant room, upgrade of flat roof sections to insulated systems, timber window frame and stone surround repairs and repointing & strengthening of brickwork chimneys. All under the watch of a conservation officer.

The works Programme was limited by the discovery of Bats within the listed building roof area. This meant that due to the resulting BAT license, the already complicated works had to be carried out in very much reduced time frame, meaning the site team working though weekends & bank holidays and in very temperamental weather conditions.
The client has been impressed by the efforts of the site team and forwarded the below passage

"I wanted to say that the progress you have made to date on site is impressive considering the short working duration and the constraints of the building and the potential for bats to be found.
I would also add that the quality of the roofing and other works that have been completed is equally impressive and once completed the building will be back to its former glory.
My thanks to all involved for the effort so far."
